BURNEY
FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT
COMMUNITY CPR / FIRST AID PROGRAM Download Application Form Requires MS Word The Community CPR Program teaches citizens to contribute to the survival of loved one's and co-workers by empowering them to identify and treat cardiac related medical emergencies (heart attacks) prior to EMS arrival. Rapid intervention, and early activation of the 911 system, has had a dramatic positive effect of the survivability of heart attack victims in our community. Statistics show that half of the victims that survived a fatal heart attack survived because someone performed CPR on them prior to the arrival of the Fire Department and EMS personnel. The Burney Fire Protection District is offering CPR and First Aid classes to the general public starting in 2007. The classes will be offered once a quarter and must have a minimum of six students enrolled. Businesses who would like to have their employees certified in CPR can schedule classes at other times by calling the District office at 335-2212. 2007 COMMUNITY CPR / FIRST AID SCHEDULE
