The District serves a community of over 5500 people within 35 square miles. A
Board/Fire Chief-form of government manages the District. Funding is provided
through property tax and limited fees for service.
Service Provided: Laws enacted by the State of California (Health and Safety Code
13800, et al) and the Board of Directors empower the District to provide fire protection
services, rescue services, emergency medical services, hazardous materials
emergency response, and other related services for the protection of life and property.
Customers: Customers include residents, non-resident property owners, business
owners, developers, visitors, and other governmental agencies within Shasta County.
